New: Bandwidth Monitoring

Rawstream for Windows now tracks users’ bandwidth usage. Reporting usage in real-time, the new Bandwidth report charts total bandwidth on a daily basis as well as the top categories for the chosen day. You can drill down further: click on a category to bring up per-user bandwidth consumption.

Rawstream Bandwidth Monitoring

Actionable Reporting

Showing consumption by category makes it simple to determine how bandwidth is being used, and if it being used for productive purposes.

For example: high Streaming Media consumption (Youtube, Netflix, etc) may be a problem if users are complaining of slow web applications. A policy to block or set a quota on Streaming Media sites may be in order.

Deployment

Bandwidth monitoring requires upgrading to the latest build of Rawstream for Windows, build 3.0.40, available from the Rawtream dashboard. Uninstall the existing build before installing the new build.
